schemes take an entirely new dimension at Artificial Limb Centre. Those
admitted to ALC are not "patients" in the real sense of the
term. They are essentially healthy individuals who have had met a
catastrophe. To ensure that their stay at ALC is pleasant, a number of
innovative measures have been introduced keeping their care in view. They
include :

monthly outings to places of tourist attraction and educational interest;
*
monthly visits by unit AWWA ladies to boost the morale of the patients;
 *
weekly movies;
*
video games; and
*
reservations for trains with or without attendants.
