Maj Gen Douangchay Phichith, Defence Minister of Laos visited the Indian Military Academy, Dehra Dun. He was accompanied by a delegation of thirteen Army officers.

Maj Gen Douangchay Phichith was received by Maj Gen Ashok Kapur on arrival at the IMA helipad. The Minister along with the delegation went around the Academy and evinced keen interest in visiting all sections of the Academy. The delegation witnessed equestrian and weapon training being imparted at the Academy. The delegation also discussed bilateral matters with the IMA officials. On this occasion, Maj Gen Ashok Kapur presented a memento to the visiting dignitary.
