  Veterinary Aid Camp

To make operation Sadbhavana a success, a Veterinary Aid Camp was organised at Tanda. It is a small town located close to the Line of Control. The camp was well-appreciated by the villagers. It further strengthened the bond between Army and civilians. The camp was organised under the aegis of HQ 10 Infantry Division.

There was an enthusiastic and overwhelming response from the villagers. A large number of people came for advice and treatment of their sick animals. The villagers were given suitable advices on periodic deworming, protective vaccination, hygiene, sanitation and importance of preventive measures for the control of various infections and contagious diseases prevalent in the area.

Animals brought to the camp were examined for their ailments and were treated accordingly. Free medicines were given for the control and treatment of endemics and octoparasites infestations, wounds and other systemic ailments. Cases of amoostrus and infertility were also examined and treated.
