The purpose of the MoU is to promote mutually beneficial programmes of bilateral cooperation and to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between the two countries. The MoU was signed by Additional Secretary, Minister of Defence, Mr Ajay Prasad and Mr Ahmed Shaheed, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives in the presence of Mr Fernandes and Maj Gen Anbaree.
