Admiral
Sushil Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff called upon graduates
to work with dedication, commitment and hard work. He said
this while addressing the Graduation Parade of the graduating
courses at Air Force Academy, Dundigal. Admiral Sushil Kumar
congratulated the graduate pilot officers and their parents
for their commitment to the service of the Armed Forces.
The Admiral said that
the life in the Armed Forces is challenging. He asked the
graduate officers to use their talent to protect the country.
"The country may face many challenges and the young
graduates should tackle them effectively with spirit and
dedication and bring laurels to the Armed Forces" he
added. About 150 officers comprising pilot officers, Indian
trainee officers, Naval Course officers, duty officers
graduated from the Institute. The list included 3 women Pilots
and 11 women ground duty officers too.
The Admiral also
presented Ist in overall order of merit (President’s Plaque)
and the Chief of Air Staff Sword of Honour to Flying Officer
Hansel Sequiera. He presented Ist in order of merit to Flying
Officer Abhisek Jha, in Navy Course and Ist in flying for
woman to Flying Officer Prabhat Kaur. Earlier, Air Vice
Marshal SS Sisodia, Commandant Air Force Academy welcomed the
gathering. Several officers, retired Generals and others were
present on the occasion.
